USC Karpaty and USCAK Canada co-hosted the "Sports Zone", at Toronto Ukrainian Festival in the Bloor West Village this year. USCAK Canada is umbrella group for Canadian Ukrainian sports, which is a committee member of Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) National and member of UCC – Toronto Branch. USCAK Canada launched new program for organizing and assisting Ukrainian organizations in providing physical fitness and sports activities across Canada.

USC Karpaty and USCAK Canada co-hosted the "Sports Zone", this year, with cheer leader from Toronto Argonaut Football Club.

The three-day festival's prime day is Saturday, which starts with a parade.  

Toronto Ukrainian Festival Parade! Thousands of people come to view the parade every year. By participating in the parade, USC Karpaty not only showcase and promote our club among the Ukrainian community, we also show the larger Canadian community the diversity and beauty of our Ukrainian heritage.

Activities at the booth included: Karate demonstrations and a floor ball rink for kids and youth.

Canadian Soccer Association (Canada Soccer) donated tickets to 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifier game Canada vs. Cuba plus other Canada Soccer merchandise.

Toronto Ukrainian Festival in the Bloor West Village offers the largest celebration of Ukrainian spirit in the world. It is North America’s largest Ukrainian street festival. It meant to be a showcase of the most widely identifiable aspects of Ukrainian culture in Canada – music, dance, food, visual arts and community. Festival establishing itself as one of the premier Ukrainian festivals in North America and growing to attract audiences well in excess of 500,000 from across Canada, the US and abroad.

 

During the day the booth was staffed for festival goers to sign-up for various sports being offered by our club like soccer, floor ball, ice hockey and tennis.

Sponsors made it possible to draw signed Toronto FC game jersey donated by Toronto FC.
